For our second day we did a morning tour of the famous Trinity College. The tour was led by current students of the college. Queen Elizabeth the 1st founded the college in 1592.

One of our guides is a Trinity Scholar, which is a very high honor for a Trinity student. Like a Rhodes Scholar I suppose.

We also saw the old library Long Hall and the Book of Kells while on campus. Much ancient historical documents exist here.

No stop in Dublin is complete without a visit to St. Patrick’s Cathedral. We were treated to the sounds of a beautiful choir singing during our visit to the home site of Ireland’s patron saint.

We finished our day in the Temple Bar District, which is very much a tourist area, filled with people from throughout the world, that travel here to experience some good Irish craic (good times)! We found a near empty bar that was getting ready to play some traditional Irish music. The bar filled quickly behind us and we enjoyed an evening of great Irish music & dance!

We are off tomorrow by train to Cork and then to what is referred as The Wild Atlantic Way. We suspect more good craic in the days ahead!
